World Relief has helped revive and empower the planet’s most vulnerable communities since 1944. To celebrate its 70th anniversary, World Relief wanted to create a gift for donors that would help rebrand the organization and reinforce its relevance to today’s most vulnerable communities.
The result: a hand-bound, limited-edition book that takes the reader on a journey through a rich historical timeline—a treasure trove of photos, newsletters and stories.
Each of the book’s five chapters addresses a specific piece of the World Relief mission statement through the use of color and photography. The primarily black-and-white images of the first chapter’s historically driven content grow more and more colorful as the reader moves deeper into the book. By Chapter 5, bright, powerful color infuses every photo. The people pictured are visibly empowered and undeniably bold, reflecting the impact that World Relief has made on thousands of individuals and communities all over the world.
